Alexis A Tracy, DO

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Dr. Alexis Tracy is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician, also known as Physiatrist with expertise in non-operative spine care. She specializes in spine imaging interpretation, clinical examination skills, interventional spine procedures (spinal injections) and electrodiagnostics (EMG, nerve conduction studies).

Dr Tracy was drawn to physical medicine and rehabilitation because she considers herself an optimist who never gives up hope on improving her quality of life. Her goal is to help patients fully understand their diagnosis and to help manage their symptoms and limitations in creative ways. Her role is to provide non-operative spine care for patients who do not require surgery and to refer patients for spine surgery when necessary.

Dr. Tracy attended undergraduate school at the University of Nebraska and medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she spent an extra year teaching, doing research, and studying in-depth the osteopathic manipulation technique (manual medicine) for pain. She competed a transitional internship through Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
